Action objectives and results:

 To improve food security, nutrition, and access to essential health and livelihood services for vulnerable communities in 15 selected districts of Uganda by enhancing mobility through the provision of bicycles.

Results :

  1. 1,200 bicycles delivered and distributed to identified beneficiaries across 15 districts by the end of the action.
  2. Improved outreach capacity for at least 200 community health and nutrition workers, increasing their coverage area and frequency of visits.
  3. Reduction in average travel time to service delivery points (clinics, food distribution centers, schools) by up to 60% for bicycle recipients.
  4. Strengthened local capacity through the provision of user training and basic maintenance guidance for all bicycle beneficiaries.

2. Project title:

Supply of Assembled and Branded Bicycles with Spare Parts to selected schools in Kayunga and Kamuli districts.

Action objectives and results:

To improve access to education for vulnerable and underserved learners in Uganda by providing assembled and branded bicycles with spare parts, thereby reducing barriers related to long travel distances to school.

Results :

  1. 1,850 fully assembled and branded bicycles with spare parts supplied and delivered to selected educational institutions across Uganda.
  2. Up to 1,850 students (with a minimum of 60% girls) benefit directly from improved transportation to and from school.
  3. Attendance rates increase by at least 30% in beneficiary schools within six months of distribution.
  4. Basic bicycle maintenance training delivered to at least 30 school representatives and selected students to ensure long-term usability.
